A study by the Institute of Public Affairs (ISP), Poland

The study, conducted by ISP experts, is based on Polish case studies and comparisions with the experience of other EU countries. The research focused on:

  • sociological analysis of the elections to the European Parliament;
  • analysis of the electoral law for the European Parliament and its impact on elections;
  • analysis of the political debate before the elections to the European Parliament;
  • the role of the media in the elections to the European Parliament;
  • the role of NGOs in the election process;
  • populism in the elections to the European Parliament.

The project has been undertaken with the support of the European Union: Support for organisations active at European level in the field of Active European Citizenship in the framework of the Europe for Citizens’ Programme.
