The objective of this report is to present the model of future health care system revenues and expenditures in selected Central and Eastern European countries (CEE) which are now the New EU Member States, and to discuss projection assumptions and results.

The report was prepared as a result of the Ageing, Health Status and Determinants of Health Expenditure (AHEAD) project. The project was prepared within the European Commission’s 6th framework programme. The report discusses results of health budget models for Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia that were prepared by experts working within AHEAD. Detailed results are presented in reports concentrated on country studies (Gabos, Gal 2007, Golinowska, Kocot, Sowa 2007, Kvetan, Palenik, Mlynek, Radvansky 2007, Rangelova, Sariiski 2007, Roovali 2007).
