Welcome to the new PASOS website
Dear PASOS members, friends, and visitors:
Jeff Lovitt here, executive director of the PASOS secretariat in Prague. Welcome to my first blog entry at the revamped PASOS website. I will be using this blog to comment on and direct you to items of interest to think-tanks in the region we serve.
We hope the new site, our first major redesign since we launched the site in 2005, will better serve members and visitors. We’ve streamlined the experience, cutting out some features that weren’t being used, and upgraded other areas the members told us they want more of, such as news about member activities. We have also greatly simplified the site’s navigation, opting for a cleaner, easier way to find content and to browse members-only features.
We also have integrated numerous social-media features into the site, including the PASOS YouTube channel, for which we now create original video content. The new site is also linked to our Facebook site, we have revamped our newsletters, and added a PASOS Twitter account for those who want immediate notification when PASOS adds something new to our various Internet presences. In addition, we have added a system to allow you to share material from the PASOS website through more than 350 social-networking systems, which should cover just about everyone. And you can now comment immediately on updates that appear on the site.
We have tested the site extensively, but do let us know if you find any errors or unexpected behaviour. And do let us know what you think of the overhaul. All websites are works in progress and we need your input to help us design and maintain the best possible site for you.
