The Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul” (IDIS) in Chisinau has released “Moldova On The Eu Visa Liberalization Path: Taking Stock Of Achievements And Failures,” an in-depth study of Moldova’s path to a visa-free regime with the EU.
Written by IDIS researcher Leonid Litra, the 30-page study includes an assessment of where the country stands on document security, illegal migration, public order and security, external relations and fundamental rights, and other collateral issues. He also offers an extensive set of recommendations to help conclude the process.
This study was undertaken as part of Paving the Road towards Visa-free Travel between the Eastern Partnership countries and the EU, a project of PASOS supported by the Local Government and Public Service Reform Initiative (LGI) of Open Society Foundations.
