About the PASOS network

The Policy Association for an Open Society (PASOS) is a network of 56 think tanks based primarily in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Founded in 2005, PASOS builds upon the work undertaken by the Local Government and Public Service Reform Initiative (LGI) of the Open Society Institute (OSI). PASOS members strive to ensure the lessons of democratic transition are understood, shared, and applied in the public policy sphere. For more information about the association, visit our Goals and History page. To see examples of our activities, visit our PASOS Projects page.
