Two analysts with the Peace Institute in Slovenia have written a chapter in a newly published book about female European migration and integration.

Mojca Pajnik and Veronika Bajt wrote the chapter “Civic Participation of Migrant Women: Employing Strategies of Active Citizenship,” for Paradoxes of Integration: Female Migrants in Europe, published by Springer, a leading global scientific publisher.

The book is the result of an EU-funded project called  ‘FeMiPol: The Integration of Female Immigrants in the Labour Market and Society,” a project that included the Peace Institute as a partner organization. The book can be ordered online here.

Pajnik is a senior research associate at the Peace Institute and assistant professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Bajt is a lecturer at International University Institute for European Studies (IUIES) in Gorizia (Italy) and has been a researcher at the Peace Institute since 2006.
