“Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center joins PASOS network

The “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center, a think tank based in Sheki, Azerbaijan, has joined the PASOS network of policy centers.
Founded in 1995, the organization has set as its mission the support of the socio-economic development of Azerbaijani regions, in order to help to create favorable conditions for people living in those regions.
The PASOS network now extends to 57 independent policy centers (42 full members and 15 associate members) spanning 28 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The center conducts independent public policy research and analysis, and disseminates priority policy reform reports to inform and guide regional governments’ legislative agenda for the modernization of public policies, and to enable smooth and effective implementation of policies and programs.
Uluchay is a member of the Eastern European and Central Asian Business Incubators and Technology parks network (ECAbit) and National Platform of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF). Uluchay’s executive director, Ilyas Safarli, is a member of European 3rd sector leaders Networks (EUCLID) and a national coordinator of the Open Forum for CSO development effectiveness.
